David Saile's Portfolio

Most of my life I focused on music rather than art, in spite of being in a family of artists. Over the years I’ve played piano, trombone, bagpipes, synthesizers, flute, sax and drums.

I started getting into art when I began playing around with the 3D landscaping program Vue.  I began making chess themed pictures and videos with this program.  Apparently I was good at it, as people responded positively to them.  I joined the San Francisco Society of Fine Art and had considerable success selling limited editions of my “ChessScapes” in San Francisco Art shows.

I have since retired from my day job writing software for a biotech company, and moved to beautiful Crescent City, CA (“Where the redwoods meet the sea”).  I now show my works at the Crescent Harbor Art Gallery
